West Washington has gone 8-1 against Mitchell recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Senators will venture away from home to challenge the Bluejackets at 5:00 p.m. West Washington is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

West Washington is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Saturday, they were much more limited against Assumption on Saturday. They fell 5-1 to the Rockets. The Senators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Washington saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Meredith Deaton, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

South Central hit Mitchell with a four-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bluejackets fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 6-5.

Mitchell's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-10. As for West Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.

West Washington took their victory against Mitchell in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Senators since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
