Basketball Recap: Buckfield Takes a Loss

Buckfield was the 56-53 winner over Pine Tree Academy when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Buckfield Bucks fell 64-53 to the Pine Tree Academy Breakers on Thursday. The Bucks just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Buckfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Pine Tree Academy, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buckfield will take on Islesboro Central in a holiday battle at at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pine Tree Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Telstar at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
