Basketball Game Preview: Ironton Fighting Tigers vs. Dawson-Bryant Hornets

Ironton hasn't had much luck against Dawson-Bryant recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Ironton Fighting Tigers will head out to challenge the Dawson-Bryant Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Ironton slipped by Chesapeake 39-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Fighting Tigers.

Meanwhile, Dawson-Bryant earned a 42-34 win over Rock Hill on Monday.

Dawson-Bryant is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points per game. As for Ironton, their record is now 8-11.

Ironton came up short against Dawson-Bryant when the teams last played back in January, falling 49-43. Can Ironton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
