Mapleton is 8-2 against Monroeville since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Mapleton Mounties are taking a road trip to challenge the Monroeville Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Mapleton is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Northmor just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 47-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Knights.

Meanwhile, Monroeville ended up a good deal behind Mansfield Christian on Tuesday and lost 67-53. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mapleton's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-5. As for Monroeville, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.

Mapleton beat Monroeville 54-43 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mapleton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
