Basketball Recap: Williamston Comes Up Short

Williamston lost against Haslett back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Williamston Hornets took a 60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Haslett Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Vikings are ranked 17th).

Williamston has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Haslett, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Williamston will face off against Grand Ledge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Williamston is facing Grand Ledge at the right time seeing as Grand Ledge is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Haslett, they will head out to square off against East Lansing at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
