Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Olivia Rice and Riley Ernsperger Lead New Prairie to Victory

There's no place like home for New Prairie, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the South Central Satellites on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-11, 25-21.

Leading New Prairie to victory were Riley Ernsperger and Olivia Rice. Ernsperger had 13 digs and one assist, while Rice had 14 digs and one assist. Those 14 digs gave Rice a new career-high.

With the win, New Prairie broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 13-16. As for South Central, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-12.

Looking ahead, New Prairie is taking a road trip to face off against Penn at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Triton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
