Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Amity Regional couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glastonbury Guardians on Saturday. The Spartans' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Amity Regional started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-17, 25-12, 25-17.

Leading Glastonbury to victory were Leah Mosca and Mckenna Reynolds. Mosca had 16 digs and eight assists, while Reynolds hit 62.5% for ten kills and eight digs, three blocks, and two aces. Reynolds has been hot for a while, having also posted 16 or more assists the last 11 times she's played. Sophia Baxter also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Amity Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 20-5. As for Glastonbury, they pushed their record up to 27-3-2 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home.

As of now, neither Amity Regional nor the Guardians have any future games scheduled.
