They put the hurt on San Diego with a sharp 8-2 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Torin Bennett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on one hit and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Maya Tyszkiewicz, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2024. Hannah Muscat was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Santa Fe Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Tri-City Christian fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Escondido Charter on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 5-4. The Eagles have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.
Tri-City Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby Lisak, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Another was Kaedyn Ybarra, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.
Tri-City Christian's loss dropped their record down to 15-5-1. As for Santa Fe Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Santa Fe Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Tri-City Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
