Baseball Recap: Green Wins Going Away Against Eastern

Green got themselves on the board against Eastern on Tuesday, but Eastern never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 10-0 win. That looming 10-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bobcats yet this season.

Landon Kimbler was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Smith, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

The victory made it two in a row for Green and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Eastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Green will head out to square off against St. Joseph Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eastern, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Symmes Valley at 5:00 p.m.
