Football Recap: Sam Houston Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Sam Houston extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-3. They took a blow against the South Grand Prairie Warriors, falling 59-10. While losing is never fun, the Texans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 775th, while the Warriors are ranked 154th).

As for South Grand Prairie, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 64.0 points this season.

Josiah Lucas was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 110 yards and three TDs on only 12 carries. Another player making a difference was Daylon Brooks, who threw for 130 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes.
