Basketball Recap: Edisto Takes a Loss

Edisto lost against Lake Marion last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Edisto Cougars fell to the Lake Marion Gators 46-40.

Leading Lake Marion to victory were Mason Miles and Carl Capers. Miles dropped a double-double with 20 points and 12 boards, while Capers went 5 for 8 en route to 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Capers is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last five games he's played.

Edisto's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Lake Marion, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-9.

Edisto does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lake Marion, they will be playing at home against Hampton County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hampton County will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Lake Marion surely won't give up without a fight.
