On Wednesday Claire McCormack tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. The performance also marked the fewest walks (zero) McCormack has had since back in March of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her fourth in a row with less than one walk. For the year, she has an ERA of 2.80 over 15 innings pitched.

McCormack's effort led Gray Collegiate Academy over Aiken and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
