West Point won the last time they faced Valley Vista and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Dragons blew past the Monsoon 18-2. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Leilani Mendez was a standout: she scored a run and stole four bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Mariah Mendez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

West Point always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .771. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

West Point has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.8 runs over those games. As for Valley Vista, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-10.
