Baseball Game Preview: Granby Rams vs. Palmer Panthers

The Granby Rams will venture away from home to challenge the Palmer Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Granby is looking for their season's first win.

Granby lost 23-4 to Ware on Wednesday.

Granby saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Misiaszek, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Palmer faced off against South Hadley on Wednesday. The Panthers came up short against the Tigers, falling 19-10. The Panthers have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Brendan Hess made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and fired off three triples, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Those triples marked the first that he hit this season. Another player making a difference was Josiel Ortiz, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Palmer's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Granby, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Granby suffered a grim 15-2 defeat to Palmer when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
