Soccer Game Preview: Robinson vs. Lemon Bay

The Robinson Knights will venture away from home to challenge the Lemon Bay Manta Rays at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Robinson sitting on three straight victories and Lemon Bay on five.

Robinson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They never let Naples onto the board and left with a 1-0 win.

Meanwhile, everything went Lemon Bay's way against Gulf on Tuesday as Lemon Bay made off with a 6-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Manta Rays, who have now won ten matches by four goals or more so far this season.

Lemon Bay is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 41 goals over those eight contests. As for Robinson, their win bumped their record up to 12-6-1.

Robinson suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Lemon Bay in their previous matchup back in February of 2022. Can Robinson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
