Basketball Recap: New Creation Christian Academy Takes a Loss

New Creation Christian Academy was the 76-65 winner over Young Americans Christian when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The New Creation Christian Academy Crusaders fell 69-62 to the Young Americans Christian Eagles on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (58), the Crusaders still had to take the loss.

Young Americans Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Joshua Poole out in front who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Poole a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Damian Crawford, who made all 6 shots he took racking up 15 points and seven rebounds.

New Creation Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Young Americans Christian, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Creation Christian Academy will venture away from home to face off against Creekside Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Creekside Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups. As for Young Americans Christian, they will take on Covington Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
