Softball Recap: Othello Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Othello and East Valley, and East Valley kept the tradition alive. The Huskies took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Devils on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 on Friday.

Othello's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for East Valley, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Othello will take on rival Ephrata at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Huskies have won five straight at home, while the Tigers won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change. Meanwhile, East Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Selah at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
