Volleyball Recap: Rylie Kate Thrash Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat New Brockton + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Opp, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the New Brockton Gamecocks on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bobcats as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Opp took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-10, 25-12.

Opp's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rylie Kate Thrash, who had four digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Thrash a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Crislyn Birge, who had seven digs and four aces.

They weren't the only good server: Opp was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. They are 3-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

The win got Opp back to even at 4-4. As for New Brockton, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Opp will face off against Straughn at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Brockton, they will take on Elba at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
