It's playoff time, and Cordova had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cherokee County Warriors on Friday, sneaking past 3-1. The victory was nothing new for the Blue Devils as they're now sitting on three straight.

Caleb Kilpatrick spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits.

On the hitting side, Cordova's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Jackson, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Cordova now has a winning record of 16-15. As for Cherokee County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 21-16-1.

Cordova will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
