It's playoff time, and Harrison had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the McCutcheon Mavericks on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Mavericks: they've now won three in a row.

Harrison got a great performance from Chase Gothrup as he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Gothrup has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kendrick Pena was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Jack Gonzalez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

Harrison's record is now 20-7. As for McCutcheon, they moved to 16-12 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Harrison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McCutcheon, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Carmel at 7:00 p.m. on September 9. The Greyhounds' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Mavericks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
