Recap: Pineapple Cove Classical Academy Patriots vs. Brevard Christian War Eagles
The Pineapple Cove Classical Academy Patriots lost against the Brevard Christian War Eagles back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The match between both teams wasn't particularly close, with Pineapple Cove Classical Academy falling 61-45. They have not had much luck with Brevard Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Matthew Barna, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Barna set a new season high mark in steals with two. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Barna, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Pineapple Cove Classical Academy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Brevard Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pineapple Cove Classical Academy is on the road again on Monday and play against Melbourne Central Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on December 4th. Hopefully Melbourne Central Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday. As for Brevard Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Master's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Master's Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
