Softball Recap: Dixie Greyhounds vs. Brookville Blue Devils
Dixie had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Brookville Blue Devils by a score of 4-3 on Monday. Dixie has not had much luck with Brookville recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
For Brookville's part, their victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kara Gardner, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
Dixie will be playing in front of their home fans against East Clinton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Brookville, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-6 win vs. Wayne on the 26th.
