Soccer Game Preview: Auburn vs. Mt. Rainier

The Auburn Trojans will venture away from home to face off against the Mt. Rainier Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Auburn is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Auburn fell victim to Auburn Riverside and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Ravens, falling 4-0.

Meanwhile, Mt. Rainier hadn't done well against Kennedy Catholic recently (they were 0-7-2 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Rams sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Lancers.

Auburn's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Mt. Rainier, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3-4 and their overall record up to 3-4-4.
