Preview: Kennedy Crusaders vs. Woodstock Blue Streaks
Kennedy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. The Kennedy Crusaders and the Woodstock Blue Streaks will round out the year against one another at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Kennedy earned a 48-41 victory over Little Village. The victory was just what Kennedy needed coming off of a 75-38 defeat in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kennedy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Vincent Carrero, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Patryk Baliczek, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Woodstock entered their tilt with Genoa-Kingston with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Woodstock strolled past Genoa-Kingston with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 58-41.
Kennedy's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Woodstock, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road.
