Volleyball Recap: Reagan Extends Home Winning Streak to 11

It's playoff time, and Reagan had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Varela Vipers on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Bison sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Reagan had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-21, 25-16, 25-20.

Leading Reagan to victory were Santiago Mejia and Yeison Gonzalez. Mejia had 11 digs and two aces, while Gonzalez had 21 kills and nine digs. Gonzalez is crushing it when it comes to kills: he's had at least seven every time he's taken the court this season.

Reagan pushed their record up to 24-4 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home. As for Varela, the defeat snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 20-7 record.

Reagan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Gulf Breeze on the 16th. Varela does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
