Marion entered their tilt with Onekama on Friday with six consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with seven. They came out on top against the Onekama Portagers by a score of 67-54. The win was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 339th, while the Portagers are ranked 152nd).

Marion's victory bumped their record up to 20-6. As for Onekama, with the defeat, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-5.

Looking ahead, Marion will be taking part in a tournament against Traverse City Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Traverse City Christian will roll in looking for their 16th straight win, something Marion surely won't give up without a fight. Onekama does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
