After flying high against Stall on Thursday, James Island came back down to earth. The Trojans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Conway Tigers on Friday. The Trojans' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Despite the defeat, James Island saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addie Smith had 16 digs and two aces.

James Island's loss dropped their record down to 18-7-1. As for Conway, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.

James Island has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Oviedo on the 26th. As for Conway, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Atlantic Collegiate Academy on the 26th.
