Softball Recap: Westwood Has No Trouble Against ALA - Ironwood

Westwood had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 16-run drubbing they dealt ALA - Ironwood on Friday. Westwood were the clear victor by a 20-4 margin over ALA - Ironwood. The game marked Westwood's most dominant victory of the season so far.

Lilly Hutchison spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Westwood got a massive performance out of Tinayah White, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with six RBI, two runs, and one double. Those six RBI gave White a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hope Hutchins, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Westwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .735. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
