Football Recap: William Blount Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The William Blount Governors were beaten by the Powell Panthers 47-16 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Governors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Panthers are ranked 33rd).

Deuce Rodgers went supernova For Powell., rushing for 86 yards and three scores, while also throwing for 273 yards and three TDs on only 19 passes. Those 273 passing yards gave Rodgers a new career-high. Zi Jackson was another key player, picking up 69 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Having lost for the first time this season, William Blount fell to 3-1. As for Powell, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.
