Baseball Recap: Newton Has No Trouble Against Lawrenceville

Newton barely beat Lawrenceville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over the Indians on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won eight in a row.

Newton got a great performance from Logan Ochs as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. The dominant performance also gave Ochs a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, David Ferguson was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Newton is 5-1 when Ferguson posts two or more runs, but 5-8 otherwise. Kohlten Barthelme also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.
