Volleyball Recap: Antwerp Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Taylor Lockhart and Briley Bagley

Antwerp was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Continental Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Archers of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

While Antwerp had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-20, 15-25, 25-20.

Briley Bagley and Taylor Lockhart certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Bagley had 12 digs and four aces, while Lockhart had eight digs and one assist.

Antwerp's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Continental, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season.

Antwerp wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Wayne Trace on the 30th. As for Continental, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Cory-Rawson on the 30th.
