Softball Recap: Windsor Central Gets the Win

Windsor Central proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 13) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats, sneaking past 12-11. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Black Knights also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2025.

Payton Baret was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Shelbee Prince was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with five stolen bases and two runs.

Windsor Central's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Windsor Central and Bainbridge-Guilford will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Black Knights are set to face off against their familiar foe Oneonta at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bainbridge-Guilford will take on rival Delaware Academy at 4:30 p.m. on April 1.
