Volleyball Recap: Ahoskie Christian Takes a Loss

Ahoskie Christian came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Bethel Christian, falling 3-0. Ahoskie Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bethel Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Ahoskie Christian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-17, 25-19.

Kinsley Dunlow paced Ahoskie Christian's offense, picking up eight kills. Dunlow got some help from Myah Bradley and her 14 assists. Bradley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Ahoskie Christian dropped their record down to 4-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Bethel Christian, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Ahoskie Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Suffolk Christian Academy on the 2nd. As for Bethel Christian, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Victory Christian at 5:30 p.m. on the 9th.
