Soccer Game Preview: Cinco Ranch vs. Coppell

The Cinco Ranch Cougars will be taking part in a tournament against the Coppell Cowboys at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cinco Ranch gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener last Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Channelview.

Ben Johnson and Angelo GroganWebb scored all three of Cinco Ranch's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Coppell). Their defense stepped up to hand Ponder a 3-0 shutout on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
