Softball Recap: Clinton Central Starts Season with Win on the Road

Clinton Central had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Frontier Falcons by a score of 5-0 on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Not much got past Nuriah Harvey, who gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Frontier off the board.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emily Long, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Carly Davison was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Clinton Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-1 win against Bethesda Christian on the 7th. As for Frontier, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Delphi Community at 5:30 p.m.
