Basketball Game Preview: Crossroad Academy Scorpions vs. Lincoln Trojans

The Crossroad Academy Scorpions will head out to take on the Lincoln Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crossroad Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Crossroad Academy will head into Saturday's game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 20-point drubbing they dealt Munroe on Saturday. Everything went Crossroad Academy's way against Munroe as Crossroad Academy made off with a 51-31 win. With the Scorpions ahead 37-11 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Lincoln got the win against St. John Paul II on Friday by a conclusive 61-37. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Lincoln's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.9 points per game. As for Crossroad Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Crossroad Academy barely slipped by Lincoln when the teams last played back in November, winning 48-47. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Lincoln's Kingsley Mutanga, who posted 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
