Preview: LaVille Lancers vs. Hebron Hawks
The LaVille Lancers will be home for the holidays to greet the Hebron Hawks at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
After a string of three wins, LaVille's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 56-44 to Glenn. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points LaVille has scored all season.
Collin Czarnecki put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 19 points. He scored a full 43.2% of LaVille's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Good, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Hebron unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Morgan Township by a score of 45-42. Hebron has not had much luck with Morgan Township recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
LaVille's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Hebron, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-1.
Everything went LaVille's way against Hebron in their previous meeting back in February as LaVille made off with a 70-47 win. Will LaVille repeat their success, or does Hebron have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
