Football Recap: Clint Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Riverside, Clint was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Bowie Bears as they made off with a 34-14 victory. The Lions not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 27, 2024 (when they won 46-25).

Brandon Quezada went supernova, rushing for 108 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries, while also throwing for 62 yards and one TD. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lorenzo Medina, who rushed for 86 yards and one score on only five carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Clint was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 407 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Bowie still got an impressive performance from Derek Montanez, who picked up 75 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 60 yards. The Bears also got help from Johan Camacho, who showed off his sure hands for 92 receiving yards.

Clint's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Bowie, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Clint will take on San Elizario at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.25 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bowie, they will head out to take on Irvin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
