West Johnston had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Clayton Comets by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

West Johnston was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 19-25, 25-13, 25-16.

Coming up, Clayton is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Corinth Holders at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. West Johnston will be paying especially close attention to the Comets' game: after the Comets face off against the Pirates, they'll take on West Johnston again at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
