Basketball Recap: Serena Huskers vs. Lexington Minutemen
After flying high against Woodland on Thursday, Serena came back down to earth. The Serena Huskers came up short against the Lexington Minutemen on Friday, falling 70-48. While losing is never fun, the Huskers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 473rd, while the Minutemen are ranked 149th).
Leading Lexington to victory were Bo Stutzman and Tyler Steffa. Stutzman posted nine points and six rebounds, while Steffa went 5 of 7 on his way to 11 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Coffman, who had nine points.
