Greenbrier's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Grovetown Warriors 14-12. That's more bragging rights for the Wolfpack, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Greenbrier was led to victory by Parker Brantley and Beau Polcha. Brantley rushed for 75 yards and one score, while Polcha rushed for 50 yards and one TD.

The win got Greenbrier back to even at 1-1. As for Grovetown, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Greenbrier will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Statesboro at 7:30 p.m. on September 5.
