Preview: Greenway Demons vs. Paradise Honors Panthers
Greenway is 0-4 against Paradise Honors since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Greenway Demons will be playing at home against the Paradise Honors Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Greenway will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
On Tuesday, Greenway was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 49-43 to Yuma.
Meanwhile, Paradise Honors stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by Shadow Mountain at home to the tune of 57-22. Given Paradise Honors' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while Shadow Mountain is ranked 263rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Greenway's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Paradise Honors, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Greenway was taken down by Paradise Honors 58-25 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Greenway avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
