Wilkinson County scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a hard 76-59 fall against the Loyd Star Hornets. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now lost five in a row.

Wilkinson County's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of D'Yonna McCoy, who posted 20 points and seven assists, and Oralieshia Smith, who put up 24 points and four steals. Those 20 points gave McCoy a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakiya Dickens, who scored six points and eight boards.

Wilkinson County's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Loyd Star, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
