Soccer Game Preview: Berkshire School vs. Loomis Chaffee School

The Berkshire School Bears will venture away from home to take on the Loomis Chaffee School Pelicans at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Berkshire School's win against Kent School wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bears never let the Lions get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Wednesday. Berkshire School haven't had any issues with Kent School recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Loomis Chaffee School made sure to put some goals up on the board against Trinity-Pawling School on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over the Pride. The result was nothing new for Loomis Chaffee School, who have now won five contests by three goals or more so far this season.

The victory got Berkshire School back to even at 3-3-1. As for Loomis Chaffee School, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Berkshire School beat Loomis Chaffee School by a goal when the teams last played back in September of 2024, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
