Soccer Game Preview: Paloma Valley vs. Poly

The Paloma Valley Wildcats will square off against the Poly Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Paloma Valley's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Paloma Valley is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Indio last Friday. Paloma Valley and Indio finished up their game with a 3-3 draw.

Meanwhile, Poly's game on Friday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They won by a goal and slipped past Rancho Cucamonga 2-1.

Marco Guillen-Mendez and Adrian Navarro scored both of Poly's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Paloma Valley's draw gives them a new season record of 8-4-1. As for Poly, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2-2 record this season.

Paloma Valley might still be hurting after the 5-0 loss they got from Poly in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Paloma Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
