Football Recap: Carter-Riverside Comes Up Short

Carter-Riverside lost against Adamson back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eagles took a 34-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Leopards. The Eagles gained 51 more yards on the day, but it was the Leopards that made the best use of them.

Loss or not, Carter-Riverside got some senior leadership from Deandre Fields and Ryan Walters. Fields rushed for 165 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry, while Walters gained 179 total yards. Fields also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making six total tackles.

Kameron White had a dynamite game For Adamson., rushing for 201 yards and three TDs on only 11 carries. White was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 67 yards.

Carter-Riverside's defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Adamson, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Carter-Riverside didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 34-12 win against Inspired Vision on the 12th. As for Adamson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 18-13 loss against Roosevelt on the 12th.
