Basketball Recap: Enka Extends Winning Streak to Three

Enka waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with an 89-82 victory over the Tuscola Mountaineers. That's more bragging rights for the Jets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Enka got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hyatt Middleton out in front who dropped a double-double with 29 points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds gave Middleton a new career-high. Lawson McClure was another key player, going 6-for-11 en route to 17 points and seven boards.

Enka was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tuscola only posted nine.

Despite the loss, Tuscola still got an impressive performance from Gavin Chouinard, who shot 44% from the field to rack up 32 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Ferguson, who went 10-for-16 on his way to 24 points.

Enka's record is now 3-1. As for Tuscola, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Enka will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mountaineers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
