Basketball Recap: Dailon Minor and Zion Ibekwe Secure Win for Bigtyme Prep Academy

BigTyme Prep Academy waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against Varsity Opponent by a score of 71-63. That's the seventh time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 74-53 win last Thursday.

Leading BigTyme Prep Academy to victory were Zion Ibekwe and Dailon Minor. Ibekwe went 10 of 14 on his way to 28 points and eight boards, while Minor went 9 for 11 en route to 20 points and four steals. Ibekwe's afternoon made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Isaiah Stewart was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.

BigTyme Prep Academy's win bumped their record up to 15-11.

BigTyme Prep Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 68-33 victory against Empowering Others Prep on the 7th. As for Varsity Opponent, they have also already played their next game, a 58-24 defeat against Veritas Christian Academy on the 7th.
