Softball Recap: Georgetown-Ridge Farm Takes a Loss

After flying high against Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] last Monday, Georgetown-Ridge Farm came back down to earth. Georgetown-Ridge Farm lost 13-3 to the Marshall Lions on Tuesday. The Buffaloes haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Georgetown-Ridge Farm saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Stephenson, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Georgetown-Ridge Farm's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Marshall, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Georgetown-Ridge Farm will face off against Danville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Marshall, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Marshall Lions challenge Hutsonville/Palestine Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
