Basketball Recap: Lakeland Preparatory Comes Up Short

If Lakeland Preparatory was feeling good fresh off their 60-15 takedown of Sheffield last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lakeland Preparatory Lions were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 40-39 to the Trezevant Bears. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Bears: they've now lost four in a row.

Lakeland Preparatory's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Trezevant, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Crosstown the next time they take the court. Trezevant will head out to face Crosstown at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Lakeland Preparatory will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
